Outlander

I've been watching Outlander over the past year.
It isn't on the television - you can download it from Amazon, or do like I do and wait until it comes out on DVD.
It's loosely based on the Jamie McCrimmon character from Doctor Who.
It is set at the end of the second world war and it's about a nurse who is on her second honeymoon in Scotland, she wanders into a stone circle and ends up going back in time to the Jacobite era.
Obviously it's not Survivors, but it is about a modern day person having to survive in eighteenth century Scotland.
I must warn you though, the series is quite graphic and not for the faint hearted, as like with many modern series they've tried to make it as realistic as possible. A lot of blood and gore, as well as adult scenes.
Series Two was just released, first part of it was set in France.
Frazer Hines (the original Jamie McCrimmon) even had a brief role at the end of series one.
