Hospitals are preparing for one of the worst horror flu seasons ever recorded
Almost 27,000 people have already had flu, with 10,000 diagnosed in March 2019
Most deaths from the flu occur in people aged over 65 and young children, and are usually related to complications such as pneumonia, heart attacks or stroke.

Of the 689 people admitted to Queensland public hospitals with the flu this year, 59 required intensive care.
Experts believe the figures could be an indication that this coming winter flu season could be one of the worst ever.
