Bill Gates gave a TEDs talk about this.
“Whether it occurs by a quirk of nature or at the hand of a terrorist, epidemiologists say a fast-moving airborne pathogen could kill more than 30 million people in less than a year,” Gates said.

Yes, it's bad.
NYC 64 degrees F , all week long
Ice caps melting. Polar bears and other animals are seeing their habitats shrink.
Water levels rising. This affects plant and animal life.
"Carbon pollution warming the planet". (New Environmental Protection Agency guy want to scrap carbon emissions reduction initiatives from President Obama ).

How about this?
Worldwide flu epidemic combined with mumps or measles outbreak?
Now let's add the measles
Mumps and measles in adults , especially senior citizens and babies, can be very serious.
Measles is airborne. Patients can wind up in intensive care -- pneumonia, eye and ear infections, fever, dehydration.
When a patient is admitted with mumps or measles, only healthcare workers who have been vaccinated or who have a high antibody level ,are allowed to work in that unit.
Remember in Survivors 1975, Dr. Andrew tells Jenny, ' the staff is coming down like the patients' ?
Remember how Survivors 2010 was delayed from being broadcast, because of the swine-flu outbreak?

Although the CPP’s (CleanPowerPlan)focus is on reducing carbon emissions, the same policies also reduce particulate pollution, which is responsible for thousands of heart attacks and respiratory diseases each year.
This will run concurrently with the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which will leave many people uninsured and ill.

Survivors 2008 , a drug company was involved. Selected persons received the post-card "Hope never dies."
In "Jeremiah" , something got out of the lab.
The 2012 outbreak of fungal meningitis and other infections in 20 states was traced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to contaminated injections of medical steroids, given mostly to people with back pain. In addition to those who died, 700 people fell ill. Indiana, Michigan and Tennessee were hit hardest.

Water levels raising , how many USA cities will be affected.
Cities get ready
Some areas are preparing in a big way. Miami Beach, where nearly 37,500 homes would be affected, plans to spend a half-billion dollars over the next several years to install pumps and raise roads and sea walls. So-called “king tides” already are causing more damage there than they used to, The Miami Herald reported.
In New York City, almost 32,000 homes would take on water with a six-foot rise. Climate science “fundamentally calls into question New York’s existence,” a former head of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey told Rolling Stone.
